Pics: Lupe Fiasco and Damian Marley in the studio!

Last night, Lupe Fiasco and Damian Marley were in the studio. Lupe's guitarist Erik Hammer was also in the lab with them.

You may remember that Lupe named Damian Marley, along with Thom Yorke, as one of the only artists he hopes to work with. This would make for a dope Tetsuo & Youth feature, stay tuned! Hit the jump to see another photo from the session!

    1. One could argue that both Food & Liquour and The Cool maintained political elements. In fact, it need not be argued: its a fact.

    2. That was never the argument just that in recent years it got too heavily political and away from the quality of music.

  10. Lupe Fiasco about to drop a CLASSIC (Great collection of diverse music with a message that's still lyrical but enjoyable to the masses)

    1. You forgot one very important components of a Classic: Thematic Cohesiveness. And I actually think that's what Lupe's album may end up lacking. It could be a good album, but for some reason I get the sense that he didn't go into it with a theme in mind, as he did with F&L and The Cool. Only time will tell, though.

    2. Cohesiveness doesn't mean beats or music with similar sound that's narrow minded

  11. Everytime Lupe drops a album it always feels like a holiday to me, This album is gearing up to be a damn classic and it will definitely put him in the conversation of one of the best rappers of all-time.
