Such a quality song...this is how a guest feature needs to be handled. Not just one quick verse but wrapped up throughout the song to make it one complete track.
And to those saying he looks like a douche...really? That's what you get out of this? And u are a lu fan?
I think this is a very clever collaboration for both artists.
I love this song - Guy's vocals are sublime and Lupe is outstanding.
I love how Lupe is all through the song and not just tacked on the beginning or end like a lot of songs these days. A very well crafted song between both artists which I think will be a huge hit for Guy Sebastian and Lupe Fiasco attracting new fans to them. I certainly didn't know who Lupe was until this song and I am just totally under his spell now and checking out all his music.
^^"Gay Sebastian" Ha! Right, anyone, anyone? ....Why do I have such a high faith in the intelligence of others? Whenever I look at forums and comment sections I'm always left feeling disappointed.
You are hard to please anonymous - Guy is known for his pure signature voice so I dont know how he could be classed as having generic vocals. His voice and songwriting is why he is a top selling artist in Australia.
This is a interesting and rich collaboration and it should do very well for them both.
what a GREAT song their voices mix well together, the song is well written by Guy for the wrapping part well done Mr Sebastian you never seems to fail the fans !!!!
Not feeling it.. Matthew Santos shits all over this guy!
His voice is like every other generic pop/electric dude out there. Sorry but that anon was right, and I don't see what that other guy meant about him being special because he's NOT generic? Were you kidding??
This kind of music makes my ears scream "STOP!" *-*
Lupe obviously really liked the collabo because for instance if you heard some of the other features he has been lately it sounds as though he isnt trying.
For those saying it is "Lupe featuring Guy" ... being as it is a Guy Sebastian release from a Guy Sebastian album of a song written by Guy Sebastian and David Ryan-Harris, Lupe would not be featuring at all if not invited by Guy Sebastian to write a rap and perform it on the recording.
To all the people posting put-downs of Guy Sebastian, his voice, his songs, his looks (!), go find something you do like and surround yourself with positive energy & Don't Worry - Be Happy - your Battle Scars will heal if you let them.
seriously, if i had to name all the people i would expect or see Lupe collab with, this would have never crossed my mind.
but it's a pretty good song tho. I've never been a fan of Guy or anything... but I did see him live when he opened for Lionel Richie a while ago and he was pretty good. Hes a good artist.
..it's still random though lol
this sounds like a song thats gonna be all over aussie radio play
