  2. I had no idea myself, that the song was about Chicago. He's so giving! His dad must have been a very clever man. One genius to the next. I love me some Lupe, God bless you man!

  3. This man has an AMAZING way with words!! I studied English literature during my undergraduate years of college, and I seriously believe he should write a book!! I love reading his columns, reviews and journals that he posts online!

  5. Lupe has such a way with words....makes me wonder what that 'window-wiper/washer' book would have been like. #DayDreamin'

  6. seriously you guys didn't know the robot in Daydreaming was a metaphor for the ghetto/urban life? "Cameras filmin' this walking project building... hoes selling holes right around the toes and the crackheads beg at about the lower leg... crooked police that's stationed at the knees and they do drive-bys right around the thighs..." Did you guys just think the song was about an arbitrary robot? lol

Anyway good short article. I love Daydreaming and that's a great little anecdote about the inspiration for the song. Man one of the things I loved about F&L was that it was simple complexity. Like, it just felt so effortless. Like Daydreaming had all these layers... but it didn't feel pretentious or overly trying-hard with the metaphors. In fact he was just stating stuff simply, but with a dual-meaning. Looking forward to F&L II.
