Lupe Fiasco gives update on CRS

Chuck Creekmur of AllHipHop talked to Lupe the other day, about the Occupy Wall Street movement, President Obama, The Republicans and other matters concerning the state of affairs in America and Lupe also gave an update on CRS, peep it below:

The outlook on a CRS project is bleak, according to Fiasco, who said an album wasn’t likely.

“Um, probably not. I don’t foresee it. I don’t know,” he said in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com.

The Chicago rapper proceeded to explain, at length, how things have progressed since the trio released “US Placers” in 2007.

Lupe continued: “Everybody has their different approaches. Do you want a CRS album or do you want a ‘Friend of the People‘ mixtape or do you want a ‘Food and Liquor 2‘ or do you want… It’s like, you know, you can’t do all of it.

And then with CRS I have to get Pharrell on the same page and get Kanye on the same page – is it something that we even still want to do, you know? It was something that we maybe thought about doing 3 or 4 years ago. 3 or 4 years later, is that something that we still want to do?”

  2. I can honestly live without a CRS album. I actually prefer them to do their own thing.

  5. Forget about CRS and all of these other groups non sense. It was in the past and it didn't happen then and it won't happen now.

Lupe needs to focus on the now. CRS was a good idea back then, but it turns out that it can't work so they as well as us fans need to move on.

  9. Its cool. I never really thought Kanye was up to scratch in the whole CRS thing.. He seemed to be the weakest lyricist :/

Just keep doing YOUR thing Lupe!

  14. cmon guys, he's mentioned this multiple times in interviews that CRS never really had plans besides making sidetracks every now and then.

IMO, i see CRS and ACCC sorta like a modern day Native Tongues. A collective group of talented artists that are willing to collaborate with each other but never really create a full length project, which i'm totally fine with tbh.
