  1. Something about a white blond girl singing this song word for word just seems wrong. Did she also say the n word? I couldn't make it out

  2. Ya, I did. I sung it word for word except for the "Chi-town" I changed it to "Ray-town". I don't find it wrong or offensive otherwise I would have changed the lyrics. I think the song is beautiful as is and I can relate to it on a personal level. Music should be one of those things that appearances shouldn't matter.

  7. ^^

First of all not all black people us the N word that is a stereotype and shows that you don't know very many black people. I never use it and it's offensive to me for anyone else to regardless of color. But it irritates me when white people feel like they have a green light to say certian words just because SOME black people say it. That is so stupid and I am tired of hearing it.

  8. ^^ I did not say all black people use it, but sure as hell black people PROMOTES it. I understand why to an extent but its still not a positive thing. Dont worry about how many black people I know lmao, that doesnt mean anything.

  15. Loved the way you sang the last verse and the chorus. You should slow down a bit when you do the rap part, but it's still dope!

  16. Still shouldn't have said the N word period. And to the person that says don't worry about how many black people you know. You only said that because you don't know any. Or else you wouldn't keep making statements like "black people promote the use of the N word", that is also a stereotype because the only black people you see are the ones on TV and Movies. Or else you wouldn't keep trying to justify the use of the word. And I never said black people don't call other races derogatory names but once again it's a justification.
But I tell you what, for everyone that think it's okay for white people to say the N word. The next time you see a black person walk up to them and say what up my
    N&^%$a and see what happens.

  17. Get a grip you guys act like gay people do when some mentions the word "gay". Just looking for opportunities to be offended. If this upsets you aint gunna make it through this life and I'm black

  18. Its part of the song, Lupe shouldn't have sung it if he didn't want "white people" saying that word...and im pretty sure he doesn't care just your feminine asses

  19. Really cuz I've lived in 3 different states and all I hear is black people using the N word. Just cuz u don't don't ignore the fact that it's wide spread I do believe that no one should use it but cmon don't put urself up on a pedestal

  20. I hate it when house-niggas and liberal-whites get butthurt over words. The only words I'm offended by are austerity, outsourcing and gentrification. This lady did her thing, don't hate!!!

  21. Hi first anon here. Didn't mean to start an argument you're entitled to whatever haha. You have amazing talent it's just like when I was listening to you sing the lyrics it was like ben folds singing bitches ain't shit you know? Not in a bad way.

  24. Look, I didn't mean to stir up any controversy and I'm sorry if I offended anyone by using the N-word but I did not write the lyrics. I simply covered a great song with an encouraging message. Thank you for the encouraging words and I would not let you hit it from behind, I'm a lady, buy me a drink first.

  25. Wowzers! Why can't individuals respect the fact that this young lady was brave enough to put her creative work online for all to see. The only thing that most of you guys are focused on is her using derogatory slang! It shows how closed minded people still are. Sheesh, you would expect better from people that admire Lupe Fiascos' message.

  26. First off, to the WSHH comment...fuck outta hear..what has that to do with anything?

Besides that..all she did was re-do the song word for word..I don't see whaqt's wrong with that..and if u follow this site for a while you know that we never use the n word on here. I'd never even write it.

Look at the most recent kanye performances and see how he says "MJ Gone.." and then the whole crowd with hundreds of white people says: "Our n**** dead"

No one's complaining there cause it's part of a song and not meant to be offensive.

  27. To the idiots complaining about the N word, tell me, have you sent messages to Lupe telling HIM to stop????

  30. Lmao @ Kristi with the buy a drink comment. The girl gets harassed for covering an awesome song VERY well and still keeps a sense of humor through it all. I an a black guy who does not promote the use of the "N" word, use the "N" word, or like others saying it, but when you are talking about a song, an art, like The Show Goes On, you cannot alter the original song. Art is meant to be appreciated and imitated in it's original form.

  31. Good god, you people defending the use of nigga are stupid as fuck.
