  1. What is this show? I've never heard of it.

  2. Okay I'm getting kind of sick of all this mainstream shit Lupe is getting involved in, the MTV Movie Awards then this? I hope Atlantic is behind this. I much prefer Lu laying low and dropping dope shit.

  3. It's official, Lupe is now a celebrity. But anon above me don't worry. Like all celebs, the media will only like him as long as he's popular. So as Soon as Food and Liquor 2 promo starts, he'll be unknown again.

  4. Stop with the hatin, least his bringing positive messages to the mainstream.

  5. Niggas just hate to see people succeed.

  6. No one cares about "positive messages". Lupe needs to stop being soft and just rap. No revolutionary bullshit needed.

  7. Some people actually would like to change the world for better with their talents. Don't you wish you could.

and I hope people realise I was being sarcastic in my above post.

  8. Na people do actually care about being positive, but barely anyone stands up for it tho.

  9. wow. "i wish lupe was unknown again"

wtf is wrong with you people? i hate fans of underground rappers who turn emo and bitch when their artists blow up...GOD

  10. Your favorite rapper just blew up. Bask in the moment you've been waiting for. This is a chance for a little positivity to seep through the predominantly negativity-driven mainstream.

Media attention is not bad unless it:
    1. harms the one being attended to (Lupe)
    2. harms those paying attention (audience/Lupe fans)

    ...I see neither happening.

So...what were y'all complaing about again?

  11. It's just the wrong kind of media attention. This bullshit show nobody's even heard of that I'd assume talks about celebrity bullshit all the time. Colbert Report was dope cuz he said some real shit, but will he really have a chance for that on some watered down CBS show? We'll see but I'm doubting it.

  12. I see what you mean anon, but I just think we should be more supportive and give him the benefit of the doubt that he knows what hes doing.

btw...I could never find the interview from the colbert report appearance...just saw the performance vid. Anyone care to provide a link to where I can view the actual interview? (Please no US only links..im Canadian lol)

  13. You people are very selfish, you only think about your own pleasure and keep Lupe underground, be supportive and let Lupe shine, and you people are talking like he never went to an award show. Didn't he win an award for his album? yeah! He is getting what he deserves and now you are complaining that he should stay underground. his Lasers album is still better than ALL the mainstrem album together, He tops them all!!! So be supportive your sounding like F*cking A**HOLES!!!!

  15. I officially have so much effin hate for 90% of Lupe Fiasco fans. And considering he's my favourite rapper makes me wonder why...

Put it this way, most of you are stuck inside a box from the past...why the F#%K wouldn't you want an artist who's tried to shine for all these years not to recieve the recognition he deserves now when before you were all like "Lupe is so underrated, he needs attention".

If you don't like it, GTFO and go jam somebody else, Lupe don't give a fuck what you think, bitches!

  16. Has anyone taken into consideration alot of these so called mainstream appearances he has to do for his record label.

    ReplyDelete
  17. lupe just doing double time on mainstream appearances with LASERS, so he can go balls to the wall "Lupe style" with FnL2.. seems that way, maybe that was a part of Atlantics "compromise"

  18. Wish his segment could've stretched a little more, again, I'm cool.

  19. Even when he does these so called "mainstream' interviews he talks about positivity and revolution. He is staying true to himself and his fans.
