    I call shenanigans

  3. trey is an example of artist that was better when he was unknown.

    ReplyDelete
  4. He's not worthy to be working with Lu TBH.

  5. bisexual motherfucker ruined a track on Lupe's album

    Wow

Lupe goes to parties man and to the clubs. I know when he first came out he kinda kicked a persona that he wasn't into all that, but he's changed.

  11. Trey was NOT on The Cool.

That track was a bonus cut and it didn't even have Trey on there. The version with Trey leaked last year.

  13. i fuckin hate lasers...........true lupe fans do......ill stick to the cool an food an liquor, an YES i do support his message. but whats music with only meaning an no art or dope sounds? kill sthe entire vibe an utterly ruins the meaning. aka makes it cornny an forgettable. aka lasers.

  14. I'm pretty sure Lupe and Trey actually were cool, so I'm not surprised that he said they always wanted to work together on something. Lupe did give a shout out to Trey Songz (as well as many other artists)during the outro for F&L. But for this interview dude, I think this guy is a joke! This is like a whack version of TRL. Boys with Lupe my ass!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I didn't say he was on The Cool album. I said he worked with lupe during the making of that album aka blackout so you fail.

  17. Lu shouted out Trey on his outro on F&L just sayin

  18. Neyo > trey songz..just sayin..
    lupe > any other rappers..XD

  19. I wouldn't say that about Lu, he's great and all but don't get it twisted Nas and Aesop Rock are Lightyears ahead of him

    ReplyDelete
  20. Gurlahwanchootanooooooooooooooooooo

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Edward,,lightyears dude? Can u say extreme overstatement?

    ReplyDelete
  22. neyo is definitely not better than trey songz vocally...you fail for that

and lu and trey actually are cool with each other...stop being gay guys...

u guys are gay. u want lupe to get more recognition and fame and shit but then when he does u cry and gay up about where it comes from.........

    ReplyDelete
  23. idk about aesop rock being light years ahead of lupe (lmao)..actually lupe is already better than, in fact lupe as of now is already better than some of the greatest/dopest emcees from the 90's..like Common (common in 1994 aint nothin to fuck with tho), 2pac, biggie (compare 2 classic biggies album to Lupe food & liquor/the cool and u'll know/mixtapes), mos def ( but not the old hungry mos def still lil behind that), talib kwelli, big pun, barely edges ghostface killa, barely edges andre 3000, raekwon, rza, jay z, scarface, eminem, Canibus, kurupt, Black Thought as far as lyracism goes but overall as a career his got ways to go/still somewhat new emcees lot of time left for him..but has yet to reach that Nas level, and others like kool g rap, AZ, Pharahoe Monch, krs1, rakim..but its more realistic down at the end of his career will edge out all this rappers even the G.O.A.T Nas/rakim..but has got long way to go..especially after dropping a struggle (lasers)..so Lupe is already in my top 15 emcees of all time..thats how good he is..

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nope, Saying Lu is better than all rappers is an extreme overstatement. Lasers was trash (I bought the album so I don't care) so its kind of hard to say he's better than all other rappers when he isn't, Nas went the same way if he bounces back like Nas did, which I hope he does, then we can actually have a conversation about him being the best.

    Listen to:
The Runaway (U.N.K.L.E feat. Lupe Fiasco)
    Then compare it to :
Kill Switch (Dj Krush feat Aesop Rock) and you'll see what I mean

  25. The whole idea of a conscious rap fan just doesn't make sense to me. You listen to a rapper because they talk about substantive issues, but yet you don't want them to achieve mainstream success. If these issues they spoke of in their music were really important to you, wouldn't you want them to blow up so they could actually reach more people with there message. That's Lupe is doing, and Trey'sworking to be the best at what he does so how can u hate on that.smh

    ReplyDelete
  26. haha yea as a career compare to other rappers i mentioned his not there yet..but as far as lyracism goes, lupe edges all the rappers i mentioned man..yea lasers is trash, i knew that before it even came out, b/c it didnt have "Lupe Fiasco's" title on it..but c'mon now lupe is lyrically better than aesop rock you cant deny that..and why you comparing to one track, why dont you compare all of his best works to lupe fiasco discogagraphy besides lasers ofcourse..than you'll know..

try to compare to tracks like this:

    *failure
    *twilight zone
    *spraypaint and inkpens
    *switch
    *the coolest
    *gametime
    *dead president freestyle
    *gotta eat
    *the champ is here
    *glory
    *lupe the killa
    *little weapon
    *hurt me soul
    *Dumb it Down
    *pressure
    *mass appeal freestyle
    *enemy of the state mixtape
*ignorant freestyle...exc..in fact i can go on..but this is his few..

yea that aesop rock joint is dope..but if you like something like that..listen to Lupe fiasco Twilight Zone.

    ReplyDelete
  27. and if you like that kind of joints..listen to Jay Electronica..no way is aesop rock in the same league as Lupe or Jay Electronica..

    ReplyDelete
  28. I've been down with Lu since the mixtapes lol I have all his stuff on my zune but Jay I haven't herd yet and I need to give him a listen.
To the guy mad cause Lasers is trash, I like Childish Gambino, Drake, and Kid Cudi they aren't "conscious" but still good. Lu just felt out of his element imo with that album. All Black everything and Word's I never said are still good

    ReplyDelete
  29. and yet you still dont know? smh..-__- aesop rock is not even that great how you hyped him up to be..he is nice tho but not in the same league as lupe..and yea Jay electronica will shit on him too..his mad dope..c'mon now son..

    ReplyDelete
  30. That's cool different strokes, different folks

    ReplyDelete
  31. ^ LOL..like how he avoids now..honestly tho..where you in the right state of mind? when you make that retarded statement about aesop rock being light yrs of ahead of lupe lmao..smh...-_- talking out the ass this days..

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lupes "1st and 15th is back" goes hard too. Aesop can't touch that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Why because I'm not a Lu Stan? I'm a big Lupe fan and I give credit where credit's due, I see why people don't like Lu fans. Ya'll think he's the best thing since sliced bread. I've been to most Lu concerts near Philly, Hell I got on stage with him before but soon as I say someone is better than him niggas wanna bring in the lynch mob

    ReplyDelete
  34. lmao..^ hey dumbass.. nas is better than lupe i agree..than i lost respect when you said aesop rock is better than lupe..thats just an insult for any lupe fans..go back and read my statement dumbass..aesop is not even great to begin with..

    ReplyDelete
  35. I read what you said, like I said Different strokes different folks, but it's not an insult not even close an insult would be that Lil Wayne is better or that Tyler, the Creator is, have you listened to Aesop or just that one song?

    Daylight
    Flash flood
    Shovel
    No Jumper Cables
    Freeze
    The Harbor is yours
    No city
    Holy Smokes

He may not be better than Lu to you but personally He is to me

    ReplyDelete
  36. k..why dont you say i prefer listening to aesop over lupe..than it wont be a big deal..but again aesop is no way better than lupe..and yes i do listen to all his tracks..still I think he is nice/good..he is a abstract version of MF Doop..i can go on and name many lyracist who will shit on him also too..I've wouldn't be surprised if his lyrics were a bunch of mindless ramblings because that's what it sounds like half of the times honestly..but metaphorically speaking he has dope verses sometimes and has a flow that that matches with his bars..then again no way in hell he's better than lupe or jay electronica or mf doom and many other lyricists..yea ask any hip hop heads and they all tell you his not in the same
    league as this 2 cats..

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah and that's the thing it sounds like mindless rambling but once you break it down it makes a lot of sense. I didn't wanna name MF Doom or El P. maybe I'm being impartial cause I'm a fan of underground Hip-hop, But like I said I give credit where credit's due, Lu's Great he's top 5 DoA for me so it's not like I'm here to start shit I'm just speaking my mind, if lasers wasn't ass he'd be #2 but he sunk to 3 imo, Hopefully F&L II will be great

  38. Trey Songz is one fiiine brotha. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. trey songz was on he say,she say rite?

    ReplyDelete
  40. The reason why niggas won't admit that Lupe is better than most old school rappers from the 80's and 90's is because of nostalgia, it's ignorant foreal, ya'll pretty much sayin that anyone that comes after Nas,Rakim, Tupac, Jay,Eminem or Biggie will be nowhere near as lyrical as them even if they're are, Ive only listened to Lupe for 4 years while I've listened to the ones I've mentioned plus more my whole life (I'm 19 turning 20 this year) but Lupe has surpassed all them lyrically....CLEARLY NO DEBATIN, the only rappers that are on par with Lupe is MF DOOM and Loaded Lux (the shit he says in battles can be compared to Lupe's songs almost).

    ReplyDelete
  41. andre 3000 is a beast too, probably better then lupe, even though i love lupe. and aesop rock is really dope to 9-5er anthem is my shit!

    ReplyDelete
  42. WOAH!!! Didn't realise my comment spark such a debate!! Well you guys have your own opinions, but I guess I'll stick to mine. Peace and love people. No disrespectful words. Btw, to that anonymous dude who thinks trey is better than neyo...at least have the decency to leave your name, and whatever to you man.. Neyo rulez!! Haha
