Lupe Fiasco: "I don't care who the fuck puts an album out, it ain't gonna be better than mine"

Closing out the show in Georgetown, Lupe made the following statement:

Shout out to everyone who's gonna get my 3rd album, Lasers, one of the, if not THE most demanded album of 2009, 2010 and 2011. I don't care who the fuck puts an album out, it ain't gonna be better than mine and you can tell 'em I said it.

  1. Lupe is feeling himself and I don't blame him. I'm pretty sure Lasers gone be the album of the decade unless Lupe put out another album that top Lasers! Can't wait to listen to it!

  4. HAHAHA come on lu. if lasers is gonna be anything like the songs out so far, including the show goes on, its going to be good, but no better than other artists albums.

  5. Lupe is hyping the album himself lol

It better be good because honestly "The Show Goes On" is not better than any track you have on F&L or The Cool or your mixtapes...

I know it sounds like hate "The Show Goes On" but I don't. I actually like it. I'm not saying it's his worst song. It's just form a lyrical stand point, "The Show Goes On" does not match any song from his first 2 albums...

  6. Don't expect songs to be THAT lyrically complex. HE said himself-

Ah, screw it. Everytime I inform one person, another person spawns.

  8. He's come along way from "Now I ain't tryna be the greatest, I used to hate hip-hop...". Now the cockiness would be fine if his first single off of LASERS wasn't so fucking lackluster.

  9. well every rapper thinks their the best from mainstream rappers to underground rappers...so don't be surprised..it's just the nature of hip-hop

  10. I have a feeling LASERS is going to have some surprises. Don't speculate -- just wait for it and buy it when it comes out because I know it'll be at least one of the best albums of the year!

  12. The Show Goes On may not live up to the lyrical amazingness that comes from many Fiasco tracks, I just like it because it lives up to his L.A.S.E.R.S. Manifesto. As long as the songs on Lasers retain the integrity of the manifesto, I'll love the album.
