Kanye and T-Pain - Flight School Remix feat. S-Preme
You got to have some balls if you jump on one of Kanye's tracks because people are going to compare you with him. However, on this track S-Preme definitely doesn't disappoint and delivers one of his best lyrical efforts to date. Good to see that he's able to mess with the big names. Check his metaphors and his wordplay.

Correction: Fall Of Rome x NIKE Air Force 1 - "AFIV"
First images of the black version of those Air Force 1's appeared online back in June '08. Now there's a white pair, too and it seems like they could get a release date soon.
"Lupe Fiasco’s F.O.R teamed up with Nike on a pack of Air Force 1’s. The pack consists of a white and black colorway, coming in a mix of leather and patent leather and both featuring a gold Swoosh and tags. No word on a release date so far."
They were first labeled as "Trilly & Truly" but Lupe just made the following statement on the FNF Army page:

Krewella - Sasquatch Hands
Ok...so here it goes: First I saw an entry about them on S-Preme's blog like 3 days ago (he works with them). Then I saw another entry on GWHH today and additionally to that I also got some e-mails from people who told me about them and sent me their tracks.
So...I took some time off and listened to their music and I have to say, DAMN !!!! I think they are a great new band from Chicago and I'm really into this whole electronic stuff. To have another band that delivers that type of sound is great. The track that I have right here is totally awesome so make sure to check it out.

Lupe Fiasco is set to Perform @ The University of New Hampshire
SCOPE officially announced Monday night that the highly acclaimed rap artist Lupe Fiasco will be kick-pushing his way into Durham and onto the Field House stage Saturday, May 2.
Tickets for the spring show will go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. in the MUB Ticket Office. Tickets will be $15 for undergraduate students and $35 for non-students.

Kanye West made a stir both when he said he takes fashion inspiration from gay people, and when he backtracked on that statement this month by saying, "That's when I was ignorant to gays. 'Cause there's a lot of gay people who don't dress good at all. There's a lot of gay people that I dress way better than."
Backstage at the Y-3 show, his friend and frequent collaborator Lupe Fiasco backed him up. "It's true!" said Lupe (who, incidentally, is waiting to talk to former tour-mate Chris Brown "until all this nonsense boils over").
"What do you want me to say?" Lupe acknowledged that Kanye doesn't dress better than EVERY minority group. "Japanese people and people from Paris have the best style. They can beat Kanye hands down. That’s where we get it from," he said. But he did think Kanye has the style edge on most of his fellow rappers. Said Lupe, "He definitely dresses better than me."

Charles Hamilton Clears The Air - Once And For All
This goes out to all the people who say that they don't like
Charles Hamilton because he "dissed" Lupe.
Here's Charles explanation:
Before I got the deal, I recorded two songs that mentioned Lupe's name, in a manner that led some Lu fans to believe I'm coming at him. The songs were "Unapologetic" and "No Escaping My Nuts".
Allow me to explain each line and clear the air once and for all so the public will never utter "beef", Charles Hamilton and Lupe Fiasco ever again.
In "Unapologetic", I said "I'm sorry my lines is something that you ain't get. But I do make sense. Fuck all that Lupe shit."
In label meetings, they used to compare me to Lupe, talking about their inability to understand my bars, image, etc. Every time a label person would say that, I would play "Unapologetic" out of spite right after they said it.
They got tight, I got the last laugh.
On "No Escaping My Nuts", I said "no love for the fiasco like A Tribe Called Quest." I wrote the song after the Hip Hop Honors event of which Lupe messed up ATCQ lines. I was tight because the media made Lupe out to be the bad guy after (no need to rehash the situation). I felt Lupe had a right to speak his mind (just as I) and it was a fiasco that he was getting railroaded in hip-hop for his opinion.
No love for the fiasco like A Tribe Called Quest.
No beef with me and Lu, didn't come at him, unfortunate misunderstanding, and I hope we (me and anyone who is opposed to me because of this misunderstanding) can get past this.

Lupe Fiasco in "The People Speak" (+ New Interview)
Lupe Fiasco is featured in the documentary film "The People Speak". It also features a variety of accomplished performers like Marisa Tomei, Josh Brolin, Viggo Mortensen, Sandra Oh, Danny Glover, Sean Penn and John Legend amongst others.
Lupe appeared at the MoMA screening of the film in New York yesterday and Eiseley Tauginas of BlackBookMag interviewed him:
How’d you get involved with The People Speak?
Lupe: My name was in the air for the kind of music that I do, and the film’s producers got in touch with James Lopez—my manager—and we put it together, went out to LA, and just did it. It was that spot-on. It was really democratic, like, “What do you want to read?” They had a selection of stuff they wanted me to read, and I chose what I thought fit best, and thought that I could do well.
Did you get a chance to interact with the other members of the cast?
Lupe: It was done in different places and different parts ... everyone was on their own schedule. But it was cool. You would meet people coming in and coming out. And with the entourages and the producers there—it was cool. Even though it seemed like we didn’t have an audience in certain scenes, it was still like a little arena of people right there. Everyone going, “wooh, wooh” in the audience.
What are your feelings about the Grammys this year?
Lupe: I went in, I had four nominations, I was happy. I kinda lost all of them, but even so, it was good. It was the best Grammys that I’ve been to. The performances were really good.
Let’s say you’re on a spaceship, going to the moon, and you have to listen to one song on repeat the whole way, what’s it gonna be?
Lupe: Robert Glasper, “G & B.” It’s a jazz piano record. It’s my favorite record in the whole wide world. (you can check the song below)
Who would be your date if you could go back and take any girl to your senior prom?
Lupe: I’d take Sandra Bullock.
Lupe Fiasco Is Set To Perform @ Elon University
SUB also announced that the first 200 ticket buyers would earn the privilege of joining Lupe Fiasco on stage for his final song.
The concert will take place on May 1st and Girl Talk is the other confirmed act.
Tickets for students go on sale today, February 12th, for $20 online at http://org.elon.edu/sub/ or in the Moseley Student Center.
Tickets for the general public go on sale February 23rd and are $27.
